Steven Pepa is a partner in the Nicosia and Bucharest offices of Penenden. He is the relationship partner for the Serbian practice.

With over 20 years of experience in developed and emerging markets in both common law and continental civil law jurisdictions, Steven has been a member of, or has led, extensive deal teams in Canada, the United States, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Steven has been focused on Central and Eastern Europe since 2004. He has held positions (many of which were senior) in some of the most prestigious international legal practices: Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, McCarthy Tétrault, Linklaters, Wolf Theiss and White & Case.

As a result of his background and experience, Steven is familiar with the concerns and approaches of Anglo-American lawyers and western investors, as well as with the practical approaches and issues that arise under civil law systems such as those in emerging markets.

With a focus on Central and Eastern Europe, Steven is uniquely positioned to offer clients international standard advice in the context of a highly geographically and culturally diverse region.
